1. Download the New Watchguard VPN Client
To get ready for the new system, please download the new VPN software to your computer.
For Windows computers, click here: https://cdn.watchguard.com/SoftwareCenter/Files/MUVPN_SSL/12_11_2/WG-MVPN-SSL_12_11_2.exe
After clicking the link: You'll likely see a pop-up asking to "Run" or "Save" the file. Choose Run if available, or Save it to your Downloads folder and then double-click it from there.
For Mac computers, click here: https://cdn.watchguard.com/SoftwareCenter/Files/MUVPN_SSL/12_11_2/WG-MVPN-SSL_12_11_2.dmg
After clicking the link: The file will download to your Downloads folder. Once it's finished, double-click the .dmg file.
2. Install the New VPN Client
Once the download is complete, install the software on your computer.
For Windows: Double-click the downloaded file (WG-MVPN-SSL_12_11_2.exe). Follow the on-screen prompts, typically clicking "Next" or "Install" to accept the default settings.
For Mac: Double-click the WatchGuard Mobile VPN drive that appears after opening the .dmg file. Then, double-click the installer package (it might be named something like WatchGuard Mobile VPN with SSL Installer.mpkg) and follow the on-screen prompts.
3. Enter your username as before (Without the ikinect-dns\ )
4. On Watchguard Mobile VPN with SSL Client login, enter the password given to you during setup.
5. Once your username and password is populated in Watchguard, you should be able to connect and show it as connected. You can view the Watchguard system tray icon at the bottom left of your Windows screen or if on a Mac it will show at the top right.
You can also disconnect from the Watchguard VPN using this icon as well by right clicking the icon and selecting Disconnect.
6. Once the VPN is connected, the next step is connecting to your remote desktop server.
- If you are on 260IT Server, the server name is as follows: 260it-01.ikinect-dns.local
- If you are an Agri Accounting client, your server name is as follows: appserv1.ikinect-dns.local
- Your username should be in the format as shown in the below screenshot with ikinect-dns\ before your username.
